About Linewise

Linewise captures how physical things are made, from the first design to the final assembly, and turns it into training data for frontier AI and robotics models. Our long-term aim is Physical RSI: recursive self-improvement for the physical world, where AI helps engineers design and plan, robots help build and inspect, and each generation makes better machines, lines and factories for the next. This role is part of Linewise Engineering, which captures the decisions behind a part: requirements, design iterations and analysis, process plans and inspection records, including rejected designs.

About the role

This role is for an engineer who has run CNC machines and can also run a program. You'll own a CNC data program end to end: you find the machine shops that can produce the data, set the standard for what they deliver, and make sure each delivery lands on spec and on time. It's full ownership of a data vertical.

What you'll do

• Find and build relationships with machine shops that can produce high-quality CNC data.
• Set clear requirements for what each shop delivers.
• Review deliveries against those requirements, and give feedback shops can act on.
• Plan the work so each delivery lands on spec and on time.
• Catch problems early and fix them at the source.

What we're looking for

• Hands-on CNC machining experience. You know what a good setup, a good part and a good process look like.
• Experience running a project or program end to end, with plans, schedules and outside partners.
• You want full ownership of a data vertical, from the first spec to the last delivery.
• You write clear specs and give direct feedback that shops can act on.
• Good written and spoken English.
