Zhichu Ren

Zhichu is the technical architect behind LineWise’s AI platform. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science from MIT, where he developed the world’s first AI copilot in real-world labs capable of conducting self-directed experiments, and published in Nature. At LineWise, he leads engineering and research, building a troubleshooting AI agent that can debug in the physical world, and running manufacturing-video–specific benchmarking of vision-language models alongside VLM-based process documentation.
